About Me
Kristen Loveday is a Norwich based womenswear designer, specialising in tailoring and evening wear. With a passion for couture, Kristen has completed an internship at Suzie Turner Couturier in 2013. She completed her BA in fashion at Norwich University of the Arts in 2014, showcased at Open, Norwich and went on to exhibit at London Graduate Fashion Week.
Kristen’s graduate collection was later selected by Sandra Reynolds to be used for a photo shoot for promotional use on their website and was also shortlisted for ‘Your Graduation Masterpiece’ by Own Label. Her other achievements to date include being one of four aspiring designers chosen worldwide for a womenswear pattern cutting internship at Hugo Boss in New York, alongside Jason Wu in 2015.
Inspired by couture techniques, Kristen strives to create simple, feminine designs for both ready to wear and bespoke clients. She develops interesting silhouettes, considering every last detail in the design process to explore a narrative throughout her garments. Textile techniques are also explored to incorporate an extra depth to her garments through subtle detailing, including fabric manipulation, laser cutting, embroidery, embellishment and print.

Kristen takes inspiration from a wide range of sources but is particularly inspired by exploration of other cultures and destinations, creating a narrative which appeal to a spectrum of markets. Her signature looks have more of an Italian style, however she has the ability to adapt to briefs easily, meaning bespoke and freelance services are available.
Her work is currently being developed into the design and manufacture of a small range of men’s accessories which will later expand to women’s that can stand alongside her collections.
